Responsibilities
  • Manage the mechanical design lifecycle from concept development to detailed design, construction support, and commissioning.
  • Lead and influence design strategy for high-performance data centre projects in a mission-critical context.
  • Work with HVAC systems, chilled water networks, CRAC/CRAH units, fire protection systems, and other mechanical systems to meet the demands of hyperscale and colocation data centres.
  • Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute Tier standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and European regulations while driving energy efficiency and resilience.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, support technical leads, manage client relationships, and mentor junior engineers.
Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical services background, ideally in mission-critical environments.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, IES VE, and CFD software; knowledge of thermodynamics and energy modelling.
  • Chartered status is highly desirable.
Experience and Seniority
  • Senior level role with leadership responsibilities, including guiding technical direction and client engagement.
