Due to expansion, we are not hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Coventry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Freeform surfacing (A, B & C surfaces, sealing and closures).
  • Produce robust 3D CAD models and accurate 2D drawings using Siemens NX (preferred)
  • Create any associated documents to support the design, validation, release, and implementation of new and existing products.
  • Ensure the design meets performance, safety, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Lead or support technical design reviews.
  • Interpret engineering data and perform necessary calculations to verify system performance and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Marketing, IP, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and suppliers to ensure product designs align with customer and business needs.
  • Provide responsive technical support.
  • Document key engineering data and decisions.
  • Support the creation and refinement of internal engineering processes, tools, and design standards.
  • Contribute to shaping the direction of future product development by sharing insight and innovative ideas.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5‑10 years of mechanical engineering experience, with time served in a senior‑level design role.
  • Expertise in the design of mechanical systems, especially powertrain, drivetrain, and hydraulic system coupled with complex surfacing experience.
  • Proficient in UGNX CAD (preferred) and experience with PLM systems like Teamcenter.
  • Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with phase‑gate engineering processes
  • In‑depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • Location: Coventry
  • Working Hours & Hybrid Policy: The standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We offer a hybrid working arrangement, requiring three days in the office, including a mandatory in‑office day on Wednesdays, and two days working from home. Flexibility may be required based on business needs.
