Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Aberdeen

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering team where you will be responsible for managing design projects, providing technical support, and contributing to the development of new and existing product lines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop designs from concept through to finished product in line with industry standards.
  • Support product validation through the design and development of test equipment.
  • Provide accurate engineering cost estimates and manage projects to budget and delivery targets.
  • Deliver technical support to maximise client satisfaction.
  • Participate in design reviews and liaise with clients and vendors locally and internationally.
  • Contribute to testing, assembly, and evaluation of new products.


About You:

  • HNC or Degree in Mechanical, Product, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering/Design.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering, ideally with oilfield downhole tools.
  • Skilled in CAD systems (SolidWorks or Inventor).
  • Strong mathematical capability (stress and load calculations).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • A proactive, self-motivated team player who thrives under pressure.
