As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will:



  • Design bespoke lifting equipment, taking projects from concept to detailed manufacturing drawings.
  • Collaborate with sales and manufacturing teams to ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Perform calculations by hand, Excel and FEA to verify designs and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provide technical support during production, testing, installation and commissioning stages.
  • Produce statutory documents, quality records, and operation and maintenance instructions.
  • Manage multiple projects at various stages of development while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will have:



  • A minimum of an HND in Mechanical Engineering, with a BSc preferred.
  • Proven experience in designing special‑purpose machinery, ideally lifting equipment but good mechanical and hydraulic equipment would be considered>
  • Proficiency in CAD being able to use AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, and Microsoft Office applications for design activities being advantageous although other systems will be considered.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and British/International engineering standards.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
