PMUK's Home Appliance Division is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the R&D Mechanical team. The successful candidate will develop new and existing technology aligned with customer requirements and ensure project objectives are met successfully. This role involves providing technical support, mentoring team members, and potentially leading projects from concept to post-production, coordinating across departments to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to stakeholder expectations.


Key Responsibilities


  • Control the design, development, and evaluation of new models from concept to mass production, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and collaboration with R&D and other departments.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve issues and coordinate development activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support other Mechanical section members with technical guidance.
  • Support project documentation, meetings, and communication to ensure stakeholders are informed.
  • Address and eradicate historic problems to improve future designs.
  • Ensure availability of mechanical parts for sample builds according to schedules.
  • Review and approve drawings, specifications, and related documents.
  • Ensure compliance with safety directives and consider new technologies for process improvements.
  • Assist in managing project costs and schedules for mechanical development.
  • Support testing, evaluation, and recruitment activities as needed.


Qualifications

Essential: Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, extensive design experience (plastic and sheet metal), knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, metal pressing), project management skills, high proficiency in 3D CAD (CATIA V5, ENOVIA).


Desirable: Assembly design, drafting skills, product evaluation experience, knowledge of quality methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma), simulation tools (CFD, FEA).
