Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high player availability to the Dragons RFC senior squad through accurate injury assessment, diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation.
  • Plan and deliver high level rehab to injured first team players ensuring a safe and effective return to play using objective testing and data informed decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with the Head of medical to ensure they are kept up to date on all medical matters relating to first team players
  • Assist in keeping accurate detailed records of all injuries for injury surveillance project
  • Provide match day physiotherapy care and pitchside trauma cover for first team fixtures
  • Manage caseload of players effectively and efficiently
  • Provide education, mentoring and to more junior therapists and Interns.

Qualifications + Experience

  • BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
  • Membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP)
  • Registration with Heath and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Level 3 immediate Care in Sport (ICIS) or equivalent qualification
  • 5yrs experience in elite level Sport
  • Eligible to work in the UK
