Job Title

Semi Skilled/Mates Mechanical - Pipe Fitters. Assisting Skilled Trades with various types of work.


Responsibilities

  • Fitting pipe spools, supports, valves, pumps, process machinery components.
  • Cutting out with plasma & grinders old sheet/plate in vessels, tanks & silos as required.
  • Assisting with erecting & fitting work depending on skill sets.
  • Working on a rota basis to cover safety work such as Fire Watching.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Good all-around skills/experience assisting with Pipe Fitting & Mechanical Fitting or capable of fabrication & welding.
  • Fire Watching & First Aid at Work & Abrasive Wheels Certificate.
  • Confined Space Certificate.
  • At least part-qualified or skilled/experienced within C & G or NVQ Welding Fabrication or Plating or Sheet Metalwork or Pipe – Mechanical Fitting.
  • CSCS Card or CCNSG Safety Passport.

Hours

0700 – 1700 + 47.50 to 57.5 hours Mon to Fri. Pos work 0600 – 1700 or 0700 - 1800 as required. Also 0600 or 0700 to 1330 Sat as required.


Term

Temp 4 to 8 weeks with good chance of longer term role of 12 to 18 weeks subject to attendance, time keeping, suitability for the type of work and work load.


Pay

Temp Semi Skilled £19.50+ & Mates £17.50+ per hr basic up to 60 hrs Mon to Fri plus extra £5+ hr on Sat via Payment Company on CIS or PAYE Basis Depending on Skills/Quals.
