Security Installation Engineer – Greater Manchester

Salary: Up to £45,000
Location: Greater Manchester (Field-Based)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Security Installation Engineer to join our growing team, covering the Greater Manchester area. You’ll be responsible for installing and commissioning high-end electronic security systems across commercial, industrial, and high-spec residential sites.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with solid IP knowledge and a passion for working with cutting-edge security technologies.

Key Responsibilities



Install and commission CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, and Intercom Systems

*

Work with IP-based systems, including configuration, networking, and integration

*

Liaise with clients and project managers to ensure installations meet specification and quality standards

*

Maintain documentation and complete handover processes

*

Diagnose faults and carry out corrective action during commissioning

Ideal Candidate

*

Proven experience as a Security Installation Engineer

*

Strong knowledge of IP networking and IP CCTV systems (e.g., Avigilon, Hikvision, Axis)

*

Experience working on high-end, integrated security systems

*

Competent with access control platforms (e.g., Paxton, Lenel, Gallagher)

*

Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region

Desirable

*

ECS/CSCS Card

*

Manufacturer training or certifications

*

Knowledge of network switches, VLANs, and PoE
