As a Roadside Mechanic you will need:

  • A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrative technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
  • A customer-focused approach
  • A full UK driving licence

As a Roadside Mechanic, you'll handle diverse breakdowns and technical issues, making technical expertise essential. With a base pay of £35,000, your earning potential is unlimited, with average earnings between £43,000 to £53,000.

Roadside support is at the very heart of our business, our Roadside Mechanics deliver an exceptional and much needed service for our members. Our patrols will be out and about dealing face-to-face with our members, handling breakdowns, offering technical support and delivering the same exceptional service that they’ve come to expect from the RAC.
