Radiotherapy Satellite Services Clinical Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Radiographer to join the Radiotherapy Management team at University Hospital Southampton in managing our Satellite services team at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.


You will lead the daily Clinical management of the Satellite Service and contribute to the Operational running of the Radiotherapy department. The successful applicant will contribute to our workforce strategy, machine organisation and education policies.

Job responsibilities

  • HCPC registration as a Therapeutic Radiographer.
  • Further study at Masters level or equivalence.
  • Change management and implementation skills.
  • Management and leadership experience.

Person Specification
Qualifications, knowledge and experience

  • Study at Master level or equivalence.
  • Degree in Therapeutic Radiography / Diploma of College of Radiographers with specialist experience and courses.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Change management and implementation skills.
  • Management & leadership experience.
  • Highly developed clinical expertise within the context of a busy radiotherapy service.
  • Well‑developed communication skills both up and down the organisational structure.
  • Experience working at a senior level within a Radiotherapy Department.
  • Evidence of evidence‑based service improvement.
  • Ability to manage a complex project.
  • Project management/educational experience.
  • Understanding of the wider cancer agenda and NHS commissioning structure.
  • Working toward SoR Accreditation.
  • Defined area of specialist practice/experience with caseload management.
  • Experience of working with staff in a management capacity.
  • Evidence of teaching / training skills.
