Join our brand-new Team at Fibre Networking Solutions Ltd – the UK’s Best Vendor/Supplier, as recognised at the 2024 UK Fibre Awards! We're a rapidly growing company with big ambitions and we're now expanding into our own fleet management and public vehicle services.


As part of this growth, we’re setting up a dedicated garage offering tyre fitting, servicing and MOT service at our new Cheltenham-based unit. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and experienced Mechanic to be part of something new, with excellent career development potential.


What We’re Looking For:


We are seeking a driven and hands-on Mechanic to play a pivotal role alongside of Garage Operations Manager, supporting in the development and day-to-day management of our newly established garage unit. This role directly supports the Garage Operations Manager and is central to the growth, development and performance of the garage teams, with specific oversight of our Workshop, Servicing, MOT, and Tyre Fitting departments.


This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to contribute to the successful launch and leadership of our first in-house garage, which will be responsible for the maintenance of our own company fleet, while also offering MOT and tyre services to external customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support in the setup and operational rollout of the garage unit, ensuring all compliance, tooling, and staffing needs are met.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting customers in scheduling MOTs, servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance, ensuring their vehicles were booked efficiently and professionally.
  • Ensured all mechanical work was carried out to high safety and quality standards, within manufacturer guidelines and customer expectations.
  • Test drive and inspect vehicles after repairs to verify the effectiveness of work completed and ensure full roadworthiness before customer return.
  • Work collaboratively with the Garage Operations Manager to implement best practices, uphold policies, procedures and legal requirements.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery and timely turnaround times.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships related to tyres, parts, and tools.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified mechanic with a minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience working in a professional garage or workshop environment. Full UK driving licence required.
  • Applicants must hold relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and have at least 3 years of proven experience in a garage or vehicle repair setting.
  • Physically fit, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
