Are you a highly skilled Principal Infrastructure Engineer Team Lead with a passion for solving real-world challenges? As a Principal Infrastructure Engineer and Team Lead, you will manage and oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of critical IT Infrastructure in a high-stakes environment. Leading a small, specialist team, you’ll ensure the reliability and scalability of on-premises systems.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, optimise and enhance IT Infrastructure, including configuration management and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices

  • Lead fault resolution processes and troubleshoot complex issues systematically

  • Design and deploy new infrastructure components, including network devices, virtual machines, containers and workflows

  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions for real-time insights

  • Foster Agile and DevOps practices within the team to enhance operational efficiency and delivery quality

  • Standardise and document end-user device build processes for secure and consistent system integration

  • Mentor and empower Engineers, fostering their professional growth

    What You’ll Need:

  • Extensive knowledge of Networking, Enterprise Operating Systems and virtualisation technologies (VMware, Cisco, Linux, Windows Server)

  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to delegate, prioritise and manage workloads effectively

  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving

  • Experience with scripting languages (Python or Bash) and automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex IT concepts to diverse stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and iterative workflows.
