Plant Fitter

Haverfordwest | Up to £45,000 DOE + Overtime | Monday - Friday | Permanent

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a maintenance Plant Fitter / Mechanic for a well-established, leading family-run business in Haverfordwest. This permanent role involves working as part of the Maintenance team, carrying out maintenance tasks on both mobile and fixed plant equipment.

Key Duties:

  • Carry out repairs to mobile plant such as articulated dump trucks, wheeled loading shovels, 360 excavators, ride-on rollers, mini diggers, pavers, planers, and other mobile plant within the fleet.
  • Safely perform planned maintenance and repairs to fixed plant, including asphalt, concrete, and crushing plant.
  • Maintain daily inspections of workshops and maintenance vehicles according to company housekeeping standards.

Requirements:

  • Completed an indentured Plant and Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent experience in heavy plant maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of production processes, health & safety policies, and environmental procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and manage change effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional Saturday mornings.
