Overview

We are offering an advanced practice MSK physiotherapist role to lead Musculoskeletal services across primary, community, and secondary settings within SWIMS. This senior leadership role combines advanced clinical practice with strategic influence, research, education, and service development.


Responsibilities

  • Act as the expert clinical lead for musculoskeletal services across South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Provide professional clinical leadership and develop advanced practice across the system.
  • Work with physiotherapy outpatient pathway leads, orthopaedic surgeons, pain consultants, GPs, allied health professionals and nursing colleagues to implement streamlined models of practice that promote equity of access for patients.
  • Lead the clinical governance agenda for MSK services across SWFT and work closely with outpatient pathway leads to develop pathways and protocols supporting service delivery.
  • Deliver 40% clinical practice and 60% non‑clinical duties, including consultancy and partnership work across four pillars of advanced practice (clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research).

Qualifications

  • Experienced, advanced practice MSK physiotherapist with advanced clinical skill.
  • Demonstrated leadership, research and education experience.
  • Ability to inspire teams and influence system‑wide improvement.
  • Passion for leadership, research, education and patient‑centred care.
