Overview

Are you a Registered Pharmacy Technician looking to move into homecare and pharmacy procurement and wish to further develop your professional leadership and procurement skills?


We are looking for a highly capable, enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician with extensive experience of hospital pharmacy to join our friendly Pharmacy Team. The post involves working in a patient focused department, supported by skilled colleagues.


Responsibilities

  • Work within the pharmacy homecare team reviewing existing contracts and building new contracts and frameworks, updating script templates, managing KPI reports, managing switches to generic medicines and processing homecare prescriptions.
  • Assist the pharmacy procurement team in the day-to-day purchasing of medications for the Trust, contacting suppliers, helping to coordinate medication shortages, running reports as requested and proactively supporting stock control issues.
  • Support the new Omnicell automated dispensing robot and Omnicell CD cabinet as required.

Qualifications

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with extensive hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Background in homecare and pharmacy procurement preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, initiative and ability to work accurately whilst meeting deadlines.
  • Experience of financial work, accurate data analysis and reporting, and resolving financial queries and problems.
  • Good IT knowledge, preferably Excel.
  • Capable of working in a patient focused department supported by skilled colleagues.
