Duties: Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Health Sciences, part-time Professors are responsible for teaching courses within the OPA program and developing an effective learning environment for students. General Qualifications: Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success Excellent communicator Strong interpersonal skills Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required Teaching experience with hybrid delivery preferred* Proven ability to work in a team environment* Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assetsSpecific Qualifications**:* A current member in good standing with either the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario or the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario* 5 years working in acute care, rehabilitation, orthopedic clinic, or community health care setting* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered* Significant experiences working with OTA/PTAs in clinical settings* Experience in formal teaching positions (i.e. Clinical instructors, teaching assistants, classroom leadership)Educational CredentialsWhile transcripts are not required for the interview, they are mandatory as a condition of employment.Equity, Diversity and InclusionFanshawe College is an equal opportunity employer.
