    What will you be doing?
    This is an exciting hands-on role for a Network Engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment. You'll be responsible for both remote and on-site support, working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver, install, and maintain robust networking solutions. From resolving escalated support tickets to contributing to pre-sales technical consultancy and ongoing infrastructure improvements, you'll play a key role in ensuring reliable and secure network operations.

    What will you need?
  • A strong foundation in networking, including Layer 2 protocols (ARP, MAC), IP addressing, subnetting, and spanning tree concepts
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
  • Hands-on knowledge of VPN technologies such as IPSEC (site-to-site) and SSLVPN
  • Exposure to a variety of firewall platforms including Sophos XG, Fortigate, WatchGuard, and Cisco ASA/FTD
  • Ability to manage and configure firewalls, with skills in NAT, web filtering, intrusion prevention, antivirus policies, and user/device authentication
  • Proficient in switching technologies with experience across vendors like Cisco IOS and HP Aruba, including VLAN setup, trunking/tagging, and cable/connector types
  • Understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
  • Familiarity with different types of internet connectivity (FTTC, FTTP, leased lines)
  • Experience with Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, NPS) and virtualisation platforms like Hyper-V and VMWare
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional, customer-focused approach
  • Previous experience in a similar technical support or engineering role
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel for on-site installations and support

    What would be desirable?
  • Cisco CCNA or other relevant network certifications
