You will work independently to undertake and interpret diagnostic imaging, formulate clinical reports, and contribute to service development and innovation. The role involves working across various clinic locations, so the ability to travel independently is essential.


This role will perform investigations including a whole range of Musculoskeletal ultrasound including lumps and bumps.

This role will deliver community NOUS ultrasound services aligned to our successful integrated patient pathway, providing patients with high quality investigations close to home.

Job responsibilities

  • To undertake and interpret diagnostic imaging independently.
  • To formulate, issue and be accountable for clinical reports.
  • To promote and encourage effective professional practices in the company by example and instruction.
  • To participate in, and deliver exceptional evidence-based practice.
  • To use accepted clinical judgment to enable independent decision-making.
  • To assist and encourage service development and innovation.
  • To actively participate in clinical audits and assessment where required and to liaise with referrers as needed.
  • To have a professional and courteous manner and always to uphold the reputation of the Company. Observe confidentiality with respect to patients, GPs, local GP practices, local Trusts, NHS staff and NHS information at all times.
  • To safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable adults and children you contact or are responsible for. Including direct and indirect contact.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure all E-learning modules are kept up to date including but not limited to safeguarding, PREVENT training, data security and all mandatory training.
  • As a community service you will work across various clinic locations throughout the week, Ability to travel independently is essential.
  • To assist as required with the training and mentoring of new Sonographers.
  • To assist with clinical Triage when required.
  • To assist with clinic risk assessments where needed
  • To plan, assess, deliver and evaluate own workload in close liaison with the Company administrators and clinical lead.
  • To have a proactive involvement in undertaking and supporting improvements of the service and the individuals clinical practice.

Person Specification
Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience of Independent scanning and reporting.
  • Experience working within the NHS

Qualifications

  • - PG - Cert / PG Dip in Musculoskeletal ultrasound from a case accredited university.
  • - Professional Registration with HCPC/SOR/RCT
  • - Possess a UK driving licence
  • -Ability pass an Enhanced DBS check.
