Job Description

We are looking for a full time or part time MOT tester to join our team. Our family run business is based in Harlow Essex and has an exceptional reputation within the local area. Salary is negotiable based on experience

Duties include

  • Perform MOT tests on vehicles in accordance with government regulations and VOSA standards

  • Inspect vehicles for safety and compliance with emissions standards

  • Identify and report any defects or issues found during the test

  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Carry out vehicle repairs, servicing and maintenance if required

    Skills

  • Mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems

  • Valid Class 4 MOT Qualification

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed

  • Attention to detail and ability to identify potential safety hazards or defects

    As an MOT Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of vehicles on the road. Your mechanical knowledge and skills developed as an MOT tester will be essential in carrying out your duties effectively. Attention to detail is also important as you will need to identify any potential safety hazards or defects during the MOT tests. By maintaining a clean and organized work area, you will contribute to a safe and efficient testing environment.

    Experience and relevant qualification to carry out MOT tests to the latest VOSA standards.

    Hours:

    Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:30 pm

    Saturday – 8:30 am – 1:00 pm (2 per month)

    **Salary is negotiable based on experience **

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

    Pay: £34,000.00-£36,000.00 per year

    Expected hours: 42.5 per week
