This is the job

The role of a Service Maintenance and Repair Technician is multifaceted. As part of our mobile mechanic team, you will attend appointments, conduct service inspections, provide on‑the‑spot repairs, and keep customers’ vehicles running smoothly. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will help you excel.


What will I be doing?

  • A communicator: You are the master of diagnostics and fundamental in delighting customers. You communicate clearly and help customers feel safe.
  • A self‑starter: You thrive working independently or within a team, driving to various locations in all weathers. No two jobs are the same.
  • A fixer/problem solver: You use your technical ability to solve a variety of issues, fixing vehicles by the roadside or at appointments.
  • You are the friendly face of the UK’s largest motoring organisation, ready for anything.

What do I need?

  • NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications with demonstrable industry experience within a workshop environment.
  • Full category B driving licence, 6 points or fewer.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
