ROLE: Mobile Mechanical Supervisor (HVAC Bias)

HOURS: 40 hours per week

LOCATION: London

We're looking for a Mobile Mechanical Supervisor who manage team of engineers from all the trades, responsible for workload related to mechanical and HVAC on site and carry out to the highest standard of customer service.


Role Responsibilities:

  • To assist with the day‑to‑day supervision of a team of technicians, sub‑contractors and any other specialists attending the client's premises, to achieve the highest level of service to the building's occupants in the most cost‑effective, technically competent and safe manner.
  • To provide support to the Contract Manager in the efficient use of labour and materials by co‑ordinating all planned and reactive maintenance work across the designated portfolio of premises.
  • To work with the Service Desk to ensure we carry out planned maintenance and reactive works as required within the contract SLA's & KPIs.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that all required certification is in place within the required timescales and remedials have been captured and actioned.
  • To ensure that all TBT/staff briefings are completed and certification of Engineers is in date and regularly checked.
  • To ensure that any sub‑contractors are working to the highest safety standards.


Main Duties:

  • Ensure self and team carry out duties in accordance with all Health and Safety procedures, Codes of Practice and Statutory Regulations.
  • Work with the Contract Manager to ensure operatives are adequately qualified and are Appointed Persons where necessary.
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out to the highest standard of customer service and that work is completed on time, within budget and meets Service Level Agreements or Key Performance Indicators.
  • Undertake supervision, coaching, support and development for team members.
  • Day‑to‑day management of relevant employees including conduct, performance, attendance and capability.
  • Build effective relationships with the client, answering queries, keeping them informed about site activities and developments.
  • Identify opportunities for, and then organise and manage to completion, any additional works in accordance with any repair and replacement contractual requirements.
  • Ensure all statutory certification is in place across the business systems.
  • Monitor, co‑ordinate and manage services provided by specialists and/or sub‑contractors.
  • Ensure compliance for all necessary Permit to Work systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of improvements to procedures and systems, making recommendations as appropriate.
  • To understand and complete all work‑related documentation accurately and on time.
  • To understand and comply with policies and procedures.
  • To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.
  • Ensure self and team comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • To attend and fully participate in training and MiReview activities as required.
  • To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.
  • To be part of the callout rota for out‑of‑hours 24/7 support.
