Mechatronics Engineer – Central London – Medical Device

About the Company:

We are looking for an engineer with experience in mechanical, electrical and software product development to work for an innovative medical device company taking their prototype to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Incorporate mechanical, electronic, and software systems and parts.
  • Evolve proven prototypes into production-ready instruments by enhancing mechanical systems, upgrading software, and improving performance.
  • Plan and define instrument specifications to meet CE/UKCA regulatory requirements.
  • Design and conduct functionality and quality testing procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including design records, version control, and development history.
  • Contribute to IP generation and protection efforts.
  • Share technical findings and insights to guide product direction and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a cross functional product development role within the medical device or scientific instrumentation industry.
  • A good understanding of and experience using Python.
  • Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical and software engineering.
