The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who will have a HNC/HND in a relevant subject and experience of delivering mechanical projects, the will assist the Senior Climate Change Officer (Mechanical) in providing the Council and Client Departments with a professional Mechanical service ensuring best value is delivered to service users by taking specific responsibility to deliver allocated projects (generally of an Asset Sustainability/Service Development nature) and maintenance/compliance programmes in accordance with current legislation and best practice, including surveys/audits, upkeep of statutory records, preparation of specifications and the supervision and management of contracts (and contractors) from inception to completion.


The successful candidate must have experience of providing an efficient, effective and compliant maintenance service by planning an appropriate programme of statutory and mechanical maintenance (both pro-active and reactive).


The successful candidate must have possess specific extensive knowledge of water hygiene/legionella control.


The successful candidate must be confident in the use of IT systems, should be able to work on their own initiative, be a good team player and have well developed communication skills.


The successful candidate will provide 24 hour emergency cover and assistance outwith normal working hours (participating on a rota) with regard to the properties under their care to ensure that buildings remain safe, on a rota basis.
