Mechanical Technician Kent £53,000 Overtime Excellent Benefits We are currently recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Technician to join a well-established and growing engineering team based in Kent . This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician looking for a stable role offering a competitive salary, structured shift pattern, and clear opportunities for training and career progression. Salary: £53,000 per annum Location: Kent Shift Pattern: Day/Night Shift 12 hour shifts (7am7pm / 7pm7am) Shift Rota (4-week rolling pattern): 3 on, 3 off 2 on, 2 off 3 on, 4 off 3 on, 2 off 3 on, 4 off This pattern provides excellent work-life balance with regular extended time off. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical equipment. Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime. Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to maintain operational efficiency. Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades. Requirements Proven experience working as a Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Technician in an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment. Strong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent) desirable.
