Job Title: Mechanical Site Supervisor
Location: New Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff, Wales
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 per year
Hours: 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join a high-profile construction project. In this role, you will coordinate site operations, oversee subcontractors, and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering a state-of-the-art cancer centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the site team to deliver project requirements.
  • Motivate staff to achieve daily and weekly targets.
  • Monitor and instruct subcontractors and direct workforce, ensuring tasks are performed by trained and competent personnel.
  • Identify training needs and address delays on site promptly.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and comply with company safety policies.
  • Keep the site clean, organised, and compliant with quality standards.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professional conduct and company values.
  • Implement and monitor Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Manage delegated resources, including budgets, equipment, and contracts, ensuring value for money.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support corporate initiatives in sustainability, equality, health & safety, and data protection.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Construction Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar site supervisory role.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering statutory procedures, with a focus on Health & Safety.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
