Salary: £55,000 per annum


Shift Pattern: Continental Shift – Days and Nights


About the Role

An exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Shift Engineer to join a leading FM Service Provider at a prestigious banking contract in Moorgate. This role offers a skilled engineer the chance to further develop their career within a dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks across mechanical services.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs in line with KPIs and SLAs.
  • Maintain mechanical equipment and services to ensure smooth operation.
  • Carry out plumbing, pipework repairs, and minor fabric work when required.
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment for maintenance tasks.
  • Supervise subcontractors when necessary.
  • Assist the Lead Engineer and Account Manager in meeting all statutory and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules and operational KPIs.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • City & Guilds Mechanical Qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within commercial buildings.
  • Experience working in a shift‑based role.
  • Ability to take part in the call‑out rota.
  • Strong problem‑solving and technical skills.
