The Role
Project Manager (Mechanical Biased) with experience in Mechanical Construction, M&E, Mechanical Installation, HVAC, Commercial HVAC, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration sector. You will join a dedicated Projects team based in Ipswich and with weekly travel out of the office to EPPH sites in London & the Southeast.
Reporting to the MEP Operations Manager this role is responsible for leading the teams of engineers, overseeing HSE and fostering client relationships to maximise returns and to ensure technical and quality standards are achieved safely and according to time and budget.
Candidates,?who can demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, manage priorities and, deliver complete systems will be highly regarded.
The primary accountabilities
Minimum of 10 years proven experience on projects valued £100K - £2M
Minimum 8 yrs of demonstrated mechanical background in mechanical construction, M&E, mechanical installation, HVAC and Commercial HVAC
Strong experience as Mechanical and Electrical Project Manager
Proven ability in project planning, cost control and subcontractor management
Management, coordination and integration of multidisciplinary teams
Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering
Review and understand the project HSE and Quality requirement, scope of work, specifications, and project overall schedule
Excellent management skills at all levels to oversee and lead major site teams
Interface with client and ensure that site activities are completed in accordance with safety, quality and time
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders
Adhere to safe work methods and risk constraints
Ensure resources under your control are used effectively, efficiently and safely

Required skills
Must be qualified on either a mechanical trade discipline (ie: City and Guilds / NVQ Levels 2/3 or Part 2)
Demonstrated experience in managing site teams and administering sub-contractors
Strong leadership?and communication abilities
Manage project variations, contract negotiations, and defect rectification
Coordinate the purchasing and delivery of project supplies
Ensure compliance reporting on all works undertaken
Participate in the tender process including design, submission, and review
Ability to mitigate risks and escalate any issues to EPPH management team
Must be comfortable managing multiple projects as any one time
Conduct project reviews and create detailed reports for management
Interpret plans, regulations, and codes of practice to ensure proper methods and materials are used, and that specifications and regulations are followed
Site experience (operations, construction and commissioning in the construction industry)
Committed and proactive attitude towards Safety
