Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – £50,000

Location: Temple
Salary: £47,000 – £50,000
Hours: Monday to Thursday (16:00 – 02:00am) & Off Fridays


We are working with a prestigious client who is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee mechanical PPMs, reactive maintenance, and general building services for a large site near Temple Station. In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary between £47,000 – £50,000, clear career progression, generous overtime, and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems
  • Respond promptly to emergency callouts and resolve issues efficiently
  • Maintain and repair HVAC plant, AHUs, FCUs, VAV, VRV systems, and water treatment equipment
  • Work on general building maintenance tasks as required, including pumps, boilers, drainage, and plumbing
  • Conduct fault-finding and repair on key mechanical systems
  • Operate and manage BMS (Building Management System) and Head End Controls

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have L8
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to diagnose faults effectively
  • 5 years + as a mechanical engineer in an office or similar environment
  • Must be willing to learn and have a positive attitude to taking on tasks/learning on the job
  • Has excellent fault-finding skills. – Majority of the fault finding will be done at night time
  • Has experience in changing parts on FCU e.g. fixing valves, actuators, motors.
  • Driving License
