Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Barnsley Plant Role description The Barnsley Plant is currently seeking to recruit 3 Mechanical Maintenance Engineer’s, to carry out mechanical repair and maintenance work on factory services and equipment to maintain efficiency of the plant.


Responsibilities

  • Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM)
  • Attending Breakdowns
  • General Factory Mechanical Maintenance
  • Provide support for critical plant functions as and when required
  • Communicate with colleagues and management to establish and maintain a well-informed team
  • Work as part of an effective team to manage & control the workload throughout the shift

Required skills / qualifications

  • Gained a recognised Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering
  • Good understanding of the production and packaging processes
  • Have good attention to detail with good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to produce and read engineering drawings

  • Salary based on grade 7 of the harmonised pay scales. Minimum £35,000 - £37,787 max
