Are you an experienced Mechanical HVAC Fitter ready to Trade Up your career? Cavendish Nuclear are hiring experienced Day Shift and Night Shift Mechanical HVAC Fitters to join our team on the prestigious Hinkley Point C project. This is your chance to Trade Up your career and contribute to the construction of the UK's first-ever 3rd generation nuclear power plant, shaping a sustainable future.

The Role

  • Operate within the MEH Alliance to deliver complex mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Interpret and work from mechanical engineering drawings, general arrangement diagrams, and method statements.
  • Use assembly and installation drawings to guide your work.
  • Shape materials and components using hand and machine tools.
  • Assemble and install mechanical plant and equipment.
  • Test mechanical systems and pipework, apply fault-finding techniques, and make necessary adjustments.

Required Skills

We’re hiring candidates with proven experience in:



  • Mechanical fitting using technical drawings and instructions.
  • Using tools and equipment for the removal and installation of mechanical plant.
  • Must have HVAC mechanical fitter experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Qualifications

  • A full Level 3 Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Engineering or Mechanical Fitting,
  • or a related discipline such as Mechanical, Aircraft, Plant, Machinery, Marine, Vehicle Maintenance, or Mechanical Manufacturing (Fitting and Assembly),
  • or Installing and Commissioning Machinery and Equipment.
  • A valid CCNSG Safety Passport is essential.
