Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Inspection Department to support the demands of the wider business, managing your team to meet fast response times, tight delivery windows all whilst maintaining quality standards, with efficiency and clarity.
  • Work collaboratively across Procurement, Manufacturing, Design, and Inspection to implement and uphold best practices in Quality Assurance.
  • Drive continuous improvement throughout the supply chain, promoting a culture of quality and accountability.
  • Accurately record and report non-conformances and faults, supporting Teams & suppliers in root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, documentation, and training to ensure departmental compliance and high performance.
  • Create work instructions where required.
  • Chair and participate in relevant meetings, ensuring quality updates are clearly communicated and acted upon.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge in modern inspection techniques, manufacturing processes, and compliance standards.
  • Own and manage the company’s compliance to tooling and gauge calibration.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Strong background in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within a mechanical engineering, motorsport or precision aerospace environment.
  • Proven Leadership in a successful Formula 1, Top Tier Motorsport or High Paced Precision Engineering environment required.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to motivate and lead a team through change and innovation.
  • In-depth knowledge of measurement techniques and familiarity with tools such as CMMs, Laser Scanning Arms, and traditional Inspection workshop measuring equipment. PCDMIS Programming knowledge a distinct advantage
  • Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and manufacturing specs.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems like IFS, SAP, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, calm, confident, and effective under pressure.
  • Committed to Health & Safety standards and promoting a safe, high-performance work culture.
