Recruit4Staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading engineering company, in their search for Mechanical Fitters to work in their leading facility in Wolverhampton.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting salary up to £35,000 per annum (£16.82 per hour) – depending on experience
  • Permanent position within a well-established engineering business
  • OTE up to £40,000 per annum with regular overtime available
  • Days position: 7:45 am‑5 pm Monday to Thursday with a 12:45 pm finish on Fridays
  • 23 days holiday rising to 25 after year 1

Responsibilities

  • Assemble a variety of robotic/automated equipment from start to finish
  • Work from engineering drawings
  • Use hand and power tools to assemble products
  • Collaborate within a team to build equipment
  • Fit and install equipment at customer premises, including worldwide travel when required
  • Operate workshop machinery
  • Travel up to 2–3 times a year (usually 2 weeks at a time)
  • Provide guidance to junior team members

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Demonstrate mechanical fitting experience – ESSENTIAL
  • C&G qualification in Engineering or apprentice trained – DESIRABLE
  • Ability to work away from home; worldwide travel involved (minimal at the moment)
  • Full UK licence & passport – ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to read from drawings
  • Mechanically minded, good with hand and power tools
