We’re hiring for a Mechanical Fitter to join a leading manufacturer based in Trafford Park. This is a great opportunity to work in a clean and well-organised manufacturing environment, assembling specialist machinery that supports worldwide production operations.

  • Mon – Fri | 7:30am – 4pm
  • Overtime available (paid at enhanced rates)
  • 6.4 weeks holiday after 12 weeks + 8 bank holidays

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?
  • Assembling large-scale specialist machinery
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings to guide machine assembly
  • Carrying out mechanical bench fitting & precision assembly work
  • Diagnosing faults, reporting defects, and supporting machine maintenance
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards in a production setting
What do you need?
  • Proven experience in machine building & mechanical assembly
  • Apprenticeship-trained or time-served background in mechanical engineering
  • Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings
  • Hands-on experience with bench fitting and tooling
  • Own tools are required for the role
