Mechanical Fitter (temp) required to work in an engineering manufacturing company in High Wycombe for 6 months.
Duties include precision mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies and finished products.
Strip down of small electric motors to bare components.Inspection, refurbishment and re-assembly of motors.
Any experience of re-alingment of motor drive systems is ideal.
The Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Technician will assemble and disassemble precision mechanical assemblies (including heat shrinks, bearings, bushes, sleeves) etc.
Duties may include repair and overhaul activities using a variety of hand tools, and workshop tools/machinery including blasting/cleaning machines, air tools.
Plus some component inspection experience using micrometers and verniers.
All candidates must have previous experience of mechanical fitting, assembly, inspection and testing.
Plus the ability to work from engineering drawings is essential.
Ideal candidates will have an Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 Qualifications in Engineering.
Basic computer skills are required as all work is logged on the company system.
This is a temporary role for 6 months, with an expectation to be renewed for a further 6 months.
37 hours per week.
Pay rate is £20/hr PAYE (or £27/hr Umbrella).
