Express Recruitment are delighted to be representing a well-established Engineering Solutions Specialist who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Fitter on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our client delivers bespoke mechanical and electrical engineering services across multiple sectors, including water, utilities and infrastructure. They pride themselves on fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment, making this opportunity ideal for an experienced Fitter seeking a stable, long-term position with excellent earning potential.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out general mechanical duties across a variety of sites
  • Install, maintain and repair mechanical equipment including motors, gearboxes, bearings and steel supports
  • Conduct fault finding and remedial work on mechanical systems
  • Assist Electricians or Civil Engineers when required
  • Work away from home on occasion (typically Monday–Friday) when projects require
  • Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies and site procedures
  • Read and adhere to all RAMS and Safe Systems of Work
  • Operate company vehicle responsibly and maintain professional standards at all times
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues and clients
Skills & Experience
  • Time-served Mechanical Apprenticeship or Level 3 Mechanical Qualification
  • Current Confined Space training certification
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Fault-finding and problem-solving ability
  • Understanding of mechanical installation and maintenance practices
  • First Aid trained
  • IOSH or similar Health & Safety certification
  • Experience within the Water or Utilities sector
