As aMechanical Fitter, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of maintaining and repairing critical mechanical systems and equipment that support national defence operations. This is a hands‑on role where your skills will directly contribute to the safety and reliability of our infrastructure. You’ll be part of a close‑knit team, working in a dynamic environment where your expertise will be valued, and your career can thrive.

Day-to-day you’ll be:

• 
  
• Completing planned preventative maintenance across mechanical systems and equipment
  
• Identifying and resolving system defects and manufacturing issues
  
• Suggesting improvements to systems and processes to boost productivity
  
• Ensuring all work complies with health and safety legislation and internal policies
  
• Working within Safe Systems of Work and control of work processes
  

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday and is based on site at Coulport.

• 
  
• Proven experience in mechanical fitting
  
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and pressure systems
  
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
  

• 
  
• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline
  

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
