About the Company

An established engineering business based in Andover is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support ongoing manufacturing projects.


The Role

This hands‑on position involves the assembly, installation and maintenance of systems and equipment. The successful candidate will build and fit components, ensuring all work meets exacting technical specifications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fit mechanical components & systems
  • Carry out routine maintenance, fault‑finding and repair work
  • Install and test mechanical systems
  • Work accurately from engineering drawings, schematics and manuals

Key Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting
  • Proven background in a mechanical fitting role
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Competence in fault‑finding and problem‑solving
  • Full UK driving licence (for site work)
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with torch brazing
  • Instrument fitting
  • Manual machining capability

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m
