What Are We Looking For

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter within the Assembly Team, where you will support the build of our electrolyser and skid products, ensuring they are produced accurately to the drawings and technical specifications provided. You will be quality focused with a positive approach.


Hours of work: 06:00 – 14:00 Monday to Friday


Responsibilities

  • Work to standard procedures to maintain high quality throughput.
  • Ensure required documentation is completed and maintained.
  • Perform quality assurance and testing checks.
  • Maintain quality standards and reporting of defects.
  • Complete machinery pre‑use checks and report faults where necessary.
  • Assess data against a set of pre‑defined parameters.
  • Ensure the work areas are stocked as required.
  • Work to and achieve targets.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Sign off build stage completion on relevant documentation.
  • Bending and forming of pipe.
  • Accurately measure and work in both imperial and metric systems.
  • Adhere to workplace H&S procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas.

About You – Knowledge and Experience

  • NVQ level 3 in an associated mechanical discipline.
  • Manual handling experience.
  • 5S in the workplace.
  • Experience gained within a production environment.
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Understanding of shop floor policies and procedures.
  • Experience of delivering to plan right the first time.
  • Experience of achieving targets.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Experience of gas systems, hydraulics, pipe bending, pneumatic, fusion welding.

Skills and Abilities

  • Can work either independently and as part of a team.
  • Good with hands‑on task completion from start to finish.
  • Ability to highlight potential failures before they occur.
  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively interact with all key stakeholders.
  • Excellent time‑management skills and a willingness to remain flexible.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to raise improvement ideas within the local area.
  • Demonstrates good problem‑solving ability.
