About the Position

Mechanical Estimator
Location: Reigate
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
My clients seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to join their dynamic team. The Mechanical Estimator will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical engineering, and construction estimating. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the growth of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects
Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to determine scope of work and material requirements
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure estimate accuracy and completeness
Develop detailed quantity takeoffs for mechanical components and systems
Research and evaluate vendor quotes, pricing information, and historical data to determine accurate material and labor costs
Requirements

5 years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably in the construction industry
Proficient knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and piping
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and construction methods
Excellent skills in quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Trimble Accubid, McCormick Estimation, or similar)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Strong organizational and time management skills
