As a Mechanical Technician with a global heavy industrial manufacturer, you will be responsible for the execution of reactive and PPM maintenance across all aspects of the process, building and site systems. This challenging role requires a Mechanical Technician with a recognised apprenticeship who has extensive experience gained within heavy industrial environments.


This is an exciting company who are leading the way in sustainable packaging, they operate 560 sites globally and are on a journey to update their site in North Birmingham with multimillion pounds of Capex planned. You will enjoy working in a rewarding role that challenges you technically and being part of a team that will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the site.


Your key responsibilities as a Mechanical Technician will include:


Carrying out fault finding, planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance activities on all electrical

machinery & systems.

Delivering services within a safety critical environment

Execution of planned and unplanned shutdown activities

Working with a "safe system" of work in a permit to work highly regulated environment,

Working with and support external maintenance service providers


Your Profile:


Apprentice trained NVQ/C&G Level 3with significant experience gained in a heavy industry.

Proven maintenance experience within a complex operational environment (Oil & Gas, Recycling, Sewage Works, Cement, Petrochemical and Heavy Industrial Process).

Knowledge of Hydraulic/Pnuematic Systems
