Overview

Mechanical/ Electronics/Mechatronics Test Engineer role at NCR Atleos, based in Dundee, Scotland. A position is available for an Engineer required to work within the Solution Test and Compliance Team based in Dundee. This team supports all test and certification activities across engineering development of complex ATM banking machines that are distributed worldwide.

Location: Dundee, Scotland

Salary: Annual Incentive Base Range 41,600.00 - 52,000.00 - 62,400.00 GBP Annual (DOE)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Test and Validation Plans are agreed upfront and incorporated into Project Plans and product engineering development activities.
  • Be a key contributor in the development and production of Device level (Unit and Component) Test specifications through to Product level (integration and acceptance) Test specifications.
  • Plan, develop and conduct independent Device tests that include integration with other Devices and Components prior to Product Integration
  • Plan, develop and conduct product level tests (integration and acceptance)
  • Perform ATM software installations and conduct system integration testing
  • Conduct automated and manual integration, acceptance and system tests
  • Participate within device and product level design reviews
  • Test Environment set-up, test equipment, specialist media test deck development, test specification
  • Test equipment development, utilize robotics/automation
  • Develop comprehensive test scripts and scenario tests to fully validate against design specifications
  • Issue regular Test Status Reports and Final Reports
  • Provide independent input to project stage gates reviews
  • Collection and maintenance of test effectiveness measures
  • Continuous improvement activity for test process effectiveness and product quality improvement
  • Support ISO9001:2015 quality management system through process audits, process improvement and maintaining accreditation.

Educational and Background

  • Applicants should be educated to Degree level in Mechanical/Electronics/ Mechatronics or related Engineering.
  • Experience within an engineering development and manufacturing production environment.
  • Full product development lifecycle exposure.
  • Experience with product and device level testing.
