We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Electro-Mechanical Fitter based in Castleford for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client are manufacturers, suppliers and repairers of pumps for the industrial sectors.


Summary Of The Field Service Electro-Mechanical Fitter Role


Salary: £50,000


Location: Castleford - field based


Type of Contract: Permanent


Hours: 37.5 hours Monday Thursday 8:00am 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am 1:30pm


Responsibilities Of The Field Service Electro-Mechanical Fitter

  • Decontaminate, dismantle, rebuild and refurbish industrial pumps.
  • Produce detailed inspection reports.
  • Assemble and test pump sets.
  • Carry out electrical inspections of pumps.
  • Undertake diesel pump set repair and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults.
  • Work both in the workshop and at customer sites across the UK to inspect, repair, assemble and test pumps.

Requirements For a Successful Field Service Electro-Mechanical Fitter

  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in electro-mechanical fitting.
  • Background working with diesel pump sets.
  • Experience of pumps and rotating equipment.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (essential for site travel).
  • Water Hygiene certification.
  • Strong fault-finding skills, ideally with pumps and rotating equipment.
