Anderson Green Ltd is a leading privately owned Building Services Consultancy and we have a permanent vacancy for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer based within our Leeds Office.

The Role:

The successful candidate will provide technical support, working collaboratively in a multi discipline team consisting of Buildings Services Designers, Revit Technicians, Building Physicist and Document Controllers. You will be involved with a wide range of projects across numerous market sectors, delivering services from feasibility through to detailed and fully co-ordinated design for installation purposes; RIBA stages 0 to 5.

Duties will include:

  • Deliver coordinated design working alongside colleagues from other disciplines
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current industry regulatory and design standards
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineering staff and apprentices providing clear guidance and direction
  • Assist with the setting of design strategy
  • QA documents, design, drawings prior to issue, to ensure Anderson Green standards are maintained
  • Liaise professionally with clients, professional teams, contractors and staff of all levels
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects leading small mixed discipline team
  • Attend client, design team and project meetings
  • Undertake feasibility studies and surveys
  • Preparing load calculations and applying for utility connections
  • Production of detailed mechanical services design
  • Undertaking sub-contractor design drawing and technical submission reviews
  • Undertaking site quality and legislative inspections and prepare associated reports
  • Use industry design guides, British Standards and Building Regulations

Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree or HNC/D in relevant subject or equivalent
  • Proficient with relevant industry design software
  • Good time management organised with a flexible attitude
  • Be a team player, but able to operate at an individual level
  • Full time employment (40hours per week)
  • Full support and guidance for personal and professional development
