The Company
Our client designs bespoke machinery for the packaging industry. With ambitious growth plans and over thirty years of experience, the business was recently acquired and has therefore secured the investment to achieve their goals. Currently operating at £1.5M+ turnover, the business plans steady year on year growth to become a major global player.
As a result, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer with immediate effect.
The Role
You'll be in a close-knit Design team with a mentor who has tenured mechanical design experience and a deep understanding of the business and their machinery offering. Working from SolidWorks, you will be responsible for designing new and bespoke machinery. You will:
Produce 3D CAD models using SolidWorks
Design bespoke machinery either utilising previous designs or completely from scratch
Work on a variety of projects across the product offering
Collaborate with electrical engineers and programmers throughout production
Become a subject matter expert on the company product offering
The Candidate
To be successful in your application for this Mechanical Design Engineer role you will need:
Proven experience designing bespoke machinery
Skilled in producing 3D models on SolidWorks
Excellent communications skills for communicating with various levels
Ability to move between projects depending on business needs
Desire to utilise your knowledge and experience to develop the team and business
The Benefits
For this Mechanical Design Engineer role the following benefits are on offer:
£35,000-£40,000 base salary
2.30pm Friday finish
Standard pension
Bank holidays in addition to holiday, as well as a business shutdown over Christmas and New Year
