Are you an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer looking for the next step in your building services career
A respected and growing consultancy in Huntingdon is seeking a motivated engineer to join their Mechanical team and work across a diverse range of projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of mechanical design while progressing toward senior level with full support.
The Role
As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will:
Support the design and delivery of mechanical building services across sectors such as commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and industrial

Produce detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications

Work with Revit, AutoCAD, and industry-standard software

Attend client and design team meetings

Contribute to sustainability and low-carbon design initiatives

Collaborate with senior engineers and learn through hands-on project involvement

Assist with site surveys, inspections, and reporting

What You'll Bring
2-5 years' experience in mechanical building services engineering

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ventilation, domestic services, and general building physics

Ability to work within design teams and communicate clearly

Experience using relevant software (e.g., Hevacomp, IES, Revit - desirable)

A proactive attitude and eagerness to develop professionally

Working towards IEng/CEng registration (supported by the consultancy)
