Technique Recruitment Solutions Ltd are a specialist Engineering & manufacturing Recruitment company based in Norwich. Our client have a permanent position for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialised lifting equipment company.

The Role
Experienced mechanical design engineer required to develop customised products for a small, friendly company dealing in an international marketplace.
Creation of overall design and assembly drawings to define customer requirements,
Generation of detailed manufacturing drawings for internal or external production,
Creation of BOM for special products and procurement as required
Customer liaison for projects
Liaison with Workshop Supervisor to ensure projects are fulfilled on time
Continuous Improvement of existing products

Important Skills
A sound background in mechanical engineering, with good knowledge of mechanisms, fabricated assemblies and sheet metalwork
The ability to quickly and effectively design customised variants from a standard product range,
The ability to prioritise workload and deal efficiently with multiple projects.

Other Skills
Excellent working knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD or similar,
Able to produce effective, detailed manufacturing information on time
Working knowledge of Machinery Standards and relevant legislation
Able to work as part of a small team
Excellent communication skills
