Overview

Our manufacturing client based in Romsey are looking for a Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company who offer great training and development.

Responsibilities
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings for company specifications
  • Constructing plastic pipe assemblies
  • Fabricate, assemble, form, reshape, rework and repair plastic products
  • Mark out sheets and pipes using measuring and marking tools
  • Assemble plastic components by using various welding and jointing techniques
  • Carry out weld testing and inspection
Ideal Skills & Experience
  • Although trainees will also be considered the ideal background would be to have some fabrication experience in either metal or plastic fabrication
  • Without fabrication experience, backgrounds that could transfer the skills would be in assembly, fitting, machining
Salary/Hours/Benefits
  • Salary: £29,200 - £35,600 (Salary will be based on experience and includes the additional hour over time worked per day in the salary range)
  • Hours: 7.00 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday, 13.00 finish on Fridays (these hours include the 5 hours overtime per week)
  • Bonuses paid out 1-2 times per year (based on company performance)
