Join us in creating an energy resilient world for a better future!Why You Will Love this Job:****Mechanical and Piping DesignerClarke Energy are seeking a skilled Mechanical and Piping Designer to join our growing Engineering team at Knowsley, helping us deliver world-class installations and uphold our reputation as a leader in sustainable energy solutions.• Competitive salary package• Hybrid working on offer following probation• 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays• Option to buy/sell up to 5 extra days of annual leave• 7% company pension contribution• Company laptop• Opportunities to grow in a globally recognised energy businessWhat You’ll DoAs a key member of our CAD and Design team, you’ll:• Create initial layouts and concept designs from a blank sheet to support proposals and tender bids• Develop tender arrangements into full design deliverables: plan, elevation and isometric general layouts• Produce detailed fabrication drawings for pipe supports, equipment skids and other structural items• Model all piping and plant components in 3D using AutoCAD and Plant 3D• Generate P&ID diagrams in AutoCAD P&ID and isometric fabrication drawings in Plant 3D• Liaise with Mechanical Applications Engineers, Site Engineers and sub-contractors to resolve interface and installation issues• Undertake site surveys and As-Built surveys to capture data and update construction deliverables• Maintain CAD systems, troubleshoot faults and build a library of generic components to boost efficiency• Mentor and coach junior draughtspersons, ensuring high quality, consistent deliverables• Ensure full adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management policiesWhat We’re Looking For****Essential Skills & Experience:• Minimum 5 years’ piping design and detailing experience in Petrochemical or Service industries• HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar• Fully conversant with AutoCAD, AutoCAD P&ID, Autodesk Navisworks and Plant 3D• Strong 3D solid modelling skills and good IT proficiency (Microsoft Office suite)Desirable:• Degree in Mechanical Engineering• Familiarity with Clarke Energy products, processes and applicationsYour StrengthsYou’ll excel in this role if you are:• A role model for reliability, integrity and professionalism • Customer-focused with excellent relationship building and communication skills• Highly organised, with outstanding attention to detail and planning abilities• Flexible, resilient and calm under pressure, adapting to changing priorities• Analytical and balanced in decision making, with a commitment to continuous improvement• A natural mentor who motivates and supports team members to growAbout Clarke EnergyClarke Energy is a multi-award-winning global leader in sustainable energy solutions.
