About the Role
A precision engineering and MRO operation is seeking an experienced Bush Fit Honer to install bushes and bearings, check dimensional tolerances, and carry out honing operations in accordance with approved manuals and procedures. The role plays a key part in meeting customer turnaround times and maintaining quality and efficiency standards.

Key Performance Measures
⦁ Adherence to customer turnaround times.
⦁ Active participation in continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
⦁ Achievement of departmental KPI targets.

Key Responsibilities
⦁ Check component and bush logs for accuracy.
⦁ Install bushes and bearings in line with drawings and workshop manuals.
⦁ Carry out dimensional inspection of bushes using calibrated imperial measuring equipment.
⦁ Swage bushings using appropriate methods (pressure, roller, staking, or material displacement).
⦁ Wire-lock bolts and bushes as required.
⦁ Use cryogenic processes and ovens where applicable.
⦁ Carry out hardness checks on components using appropriate equipment.
⦁ Maintain knowledge of relevant working procedures applicable to the role.
⦁ Complete tasks delegated by the Area Supervisor.
⦁ Hone bushes to final size.
