Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HGV's and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment is safe and operational.
Duties
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify issues.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Repair or replace faulty components.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service quality.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology.
Skills
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or mechanics are advantageous.
